This is not the first time, and this is unacceptable. There may be other advantages of OOo for Mac/X11 that I'm not familiar with. The NeoOffice developers will not be porting OOo 2.3 or 2.4 to Mac instead they will soon start working on porting OOo 3.0. OOo is currently at 2.4 Neo is at 2.2.3, based on 2.2.1. The downside to NeoOffice is that it is always a version or more behind.

This version of is unable to recognize the Java Runtime Enviroment (JRE) available in Leopard, so neither the wizards nor the Base Module will work on Leopard-unless OOo 2.4 fixed that problem, which it may have. This means installing X11 and living with a rather un-Mac like environment.
